I'm almost off...sorta.
In less than a week, I will be flying high above the Atlantic Ocean on a transatlantic adventure. Of course, there will be some studying involved...but I'm mostly excited about the European Vacation part of the trip. So, I thought I would amend my previously unloved BLOG...and show some lovin' for and from Europe. I leave on May 14th...from my former residence...Charlotte, NC...and am heading to London, UK for a mini-jaunt to start off the summer right. I fully intend on eating scones and crumpets while in London and am, as I type, thinking of a way to get a delicously delightful hat into my luggage so that I can tea like the locals. Ok...I'm going to ditch the hat and tea like the locals idea...but I do think an afternoon with scones sounds lovely, dear. On the 18th, I will board a contraption known to some as a budget airplane...www.RyanAir.com...I'm tending to think of the "plane" as a place for holding cattle and cargo where the seats are optional, the ale flows freely, and the cattle wranglers...aka flight attendants...charge individuals if their luggage is over 33lbs. I did have to use a converter to let me know how many pounds it was from kgs...I am not ashamed. I am American. However, my main concern is how much are they gonna charge me...when obviously I'm slightly over the...how you say?!?...anticipated passenger weight?!? I think it's gonna be a riot. But then I will land...hopefully unscathed...in Linz, Austria...my home base for the next five weeks or so. Linz is the hometown of Hitler...FYI. It's going to be an interesting few weeks.
So for the purpose of this post...I'm gonna try to keep up with the blog. So my family and friends can see some of the trouble...I mean...educational things I am learning during my International Commercial Arbitration Seminar. If I can figure out how to post pictures...I post them here. So a mini-farewell...adieu...Auf Wiedersehen...Ciao!
